The Fashion Focus was the fourth full-length album by Starflyer 59 and marked a shift in sound for the band. This album featured more aggressive guitars, soaring harmonies, and an overall upbeat vibe. This was an important album for the band and marked a great transition for them.
While fashion may be defined by the pieces we wear, true style is not easily bought in a store. Style is a kaleidoscope of self-expression. It is not a single item that we buy, but a combination of many items that contribute to our personality. A true style is unique and personal. Style can never be replicated in a store. A true fashion statement is an expression of individuality and self-expression.
The KSU Museum currently has an exhibit titled Fashion Meets the Body, and the Fashion Focus series will feature gallery talks by KSU art and fashion faculty. The exhibition features work by Chanjuan Chen, Jeanne James, and Tamara Cullen. During gallery talks, these artists will discuss their unique designs.
